Campsite and self-catering accommodation

About Us

Situated within the Cambrian Mountains, an 'Area of Astounding Natural Beauty', the last wilderness of Wales, and in a designated 'International Dark Sky Area' just 9 miles from the west coast, beautiful beaches, and villages,

We are a small, friendly, husband and wife run/owned site, offering a rural retreat in spectacular and beautiful surroundings - peace, quiet and tranquillity.

A stay at Dolau Afon treats you to the morning bird song, the light of the glowing sunrise cascading up the valley, and an offering of wonderful walks that surround us (including the wonderful Hafod Estate).

The Ystwyth river snakes past the camping field, providing a tranquil and lovely spot where you can take a dip & wild swim in the pool under the bridge, or skim stones with the family.

Dolau Afon also offers stays in our fabulous self-catering accommodation or space to camp on our woodland -surrounded touring campsite,

We welcome families, solo visitors, cyclists and motorcyclists, and we are a dog-friendly site.

There are many opportunities for exploration and adventure, from walking, cycling or touring and star gazing.  You might want to take advantage of our fishing rights complimentary licence, to fish from our riverbank, (fly and spinning, worm only.)
